How much flooring waste should I use?
Straightforward layouts often need less waste than diagonal, herringbone or rooms with many cuts. Set the percentage for the actual layout and follow the manufacturer's ordering guidance.
Should doors and windows be subtracted from paint area?
Large openings can be subtracted, but small deductions may be offset by touch-ups and surface variation. The paint calculator lets you enter the total opening area explicitly.
Why are boxes and sheets rounded up?
Retail packaging is normally sold only as whole units. Rounding up also prevents a fractional result from understating the amount you can actually purchase.
