Why we built it
Project estimates often hide the values that matter: material density, product coverage, waste and package rounding. BuildCalc keeps those assumptions visible and editable so a homeowner, contractor or DIYer can check the result before a purchase instead of relying on one unexplained number.
What we publish
We focus on geometric quantities, coverage, packaging and preliminary material cost. Every calculator documents its formula, practical use cases, worked example, common questions and limitations. We do not present automated results as structural design, code approval, a supplier quote or professional advice.
Who is responsible for the content
BuildCalc is created and maintained by the EasyTool.me editorial team. The publisher is identified on every calculator page, and visitors can reach us at contact@easytool.me. We do not invent individual expert bylines or credentials; project-specific engineering and code decisions belong with qualified local professionals.
How calculators are reviewed
We check unit conversion, geometric formulas, allowance order, package rounding and reproducible sample inputs. Product-dependent values remain editable and are labeled as planning assumptions. The complete process is documented in our calculation methodology.
Privacy by default
Project dimensions and prices are calculated in the browser. BuildCalc does not require an account and does not send calculator input values to a server or to Google Analytics. Our privacy policy explains the limited technical and usage information that may be processed.
Corrections are welcome
A trustworthy calculator should make errors easy to reproduce and correct. Send the calculator URL, all inputs, the output received, the expected result and a reliable source through the contact page. We review reproducible corrections before changing formulas or defaults.
